FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

THE BUSINESS AVIATION SCHOOL OF AERONAUTICS TO HOST "AIR AGE EDUCATION" WITH SYLVIA HENKIN AND SPECIAL GUEST "BUTTONS" THE CLOWN

On Saturday, August 29, 1998, the Business Aviation School of Aeronautics will host a very special aviation education program titled, "Air Age Education" to be presented by Sioux Falls' very own Sylvia Henkin. Children ages 3 to 103 are welcome to understand first-hand what airplanes are, how they work, where they live, and what they do. Mrs. Henkin, a pilot herself, knows airplanes very well. She took her first flight lesson on June 22, 1940, and officially "earned her wings" by that same December. In her own captivating way, she will teach young and old alike the value of aviation to our community and to each of our lives individually.

Special guest, Buttons the Clown, will kick off the event at 11:00 a.m. with fun and games. The Air Age event will be over by noon. According to Steve Wilson, Director of Flight School Operations, Air Age Education describes the age in which we live. "Once there was a Stone Age and Ice Age. Now we live in the Air Age." Wilson explained, "Air Age Education motivates kids of all ages. It applies very directly to science, math, social studies, language, and even geography."

Air Age Education is just one of the many events planned for the day celebrating the grand opening of Business Aviation's all-new Cessna Pilot Center. To learn more about the grand opening and Business Aviation's Air Age Education program, please contact the Business Aviation School of Aeronautics, (605) 336-7791.

The Business Aviation School of Aeronautics is located at the Sioux Falls International Airport, Joe Foss Field, on the corner of Minnesota and Aviation Avenue.
